Sapporo International Student Center provided “Japanese Culture Experience Program for international students” on July 7th. Multicultural Connection Unit “SKY” cooperated with this event and 12 of international students and their family members from 5 countries joined it. We held Doll Festival at Sapporo International Communication Plaza on February 25th. On Saturday, February 3rd, 23 people, including children, from nine countries and regions participated in the “Takino Suzuran Hillside Park Snowshoe Tour”. [Report] Japanese Culture Experience Program for International Students - Japanese Music Instruments and Nankin Tamasudare -(2023. 12. 17)
Sapporo International Student Center provided “Japanese Culture Experience Program for international students” on Dec. 17th. Multicultural Connection Unit “SKY” cooperated with this event and 17 of international students and their family members from 9 countries joined it. After they enjoyed the performance of Biwa (Japanese lute) and Nankin Tamasudare, they tried Biwa, Nankin Tamasudare, Japanese drum, and Tosenkyo. [Report] Origami Workshop 2023.
The event was held on Sunday, November 12, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Sapporo International Plaza. A total of 19 participants and 6 volunteers joined the program. The participating countries were the United States (1), Indonesia (4), China (2), Myanmar(2), Benin (1), Japan (8), and more than 7 countries. Eight pieces of folded origami were inserted one after another and connected to form a star-like ornament at the end. The combination of the colors of the origami provides a sense of design and seasonal expression.
